Our beginning
Our roots run deep in the industrial packaging industry. Our founder and current CEO Tom Shaw spent years at an industrial packaging and label converting company in Erie, PA before starting on this great journey that would become Thermal Label Warehouse LLC. He learned the packaging industry from the ground up and soon found a niche to call his own.
As customer demands shifted from ordering preprinted labels to ordering labels required for on-demand printing, the thermal printing industry was born. While on-demand printing is a convenient, cost-effective method of printing labels, the same customers also found that navigating this technical field on their own was challenging. They had to become their own expert in choosing thermal printers with different software programs, labels with many different face sheets and adhesives, not to mention the mystery of choosing the right thermal transfer ribbons. After applying his own knowledge and expertise to help several local companies the course was set. From then on TLW focused on finding the best thermal printing products available for our customer’s applications.

Looking back now it's hard to believe, but we started in a home office over 20 years ago with nothing but a telephone, fax machine and a wealth of industry knowledge. Today we have operations in multiple states, we represent the top label and ribbon manufacturers in the industry, we serve an outstanding customer base that appreciates and values our partnership, and we employ remarkable people who make it a joy to come to work every day. Best of all, we are still a family owned and operated business.
Thermal Label Warehouse LLC continues to grow year after year. Our customer base spans across the continental United States and even includes customers in Canada and Mexico (customer map below).
To this day our growth can be directly linked to our beginnings - we continue to offer cost effective thermal printing solutions in an ever changing marketplace.
